Ceramics Gas Sensor "NOTORP"

NOTORP is a ceramic sensor that can measure concentration of hydrogen gas in molten aluminum in real time, continuously.

Gas dissolved in molten metal determines yield of castings.
If cast with much gas in molten metal, the remaining gas produces defects such as pinholes.
In case of molten aluminum, most of the dissolved gas is hydrogen gas.
To achieve higher quality for aluminum products, it is important to control the hydrogen gas content.

NOTORP CS-1

 

NOTORP CS-1 can measure hydrogen gas and oxygen gas in molten copper within a short time period.
Gas dissolved in molten metal determines yield of castings.
If cast with much gas in molten metal, the remaining gas produces defects such as pinholes.
In case of copper, usually hydrogen gas and oxygen gas are dissolved in it.
It is becoming more and more important to measure gas content.
