The tip of a tuyere in a blast furnace is exposed to hot atmosphere inside the furnace and large thermal shock.
So they must be forcibly cooled by water running at high speed inside them, in order to prevent damage and extend their life.
Our tuyere sleeves can:
- reduce heat loss caused by water cooling
- prevent abrasion caused by ash in auxiliary fuels injected
- control air flow.
The materials are chosen from high-alumina, alumina-chromia and SiC-Si3N4.
